Day 9 - Thankfulness -
I am thankful today for being a part of history. Tonight, we were honored to have the Olympic Torch pass right by our apartment building. It was a very exciting night with Jason, Sandra, Xander, Evan, Jodi, Steve, Lucas, Bethany and Erin joining us on the 2nd floor balcony to view the event. It was pretty cold, but it was neat to see the torch go past. It got handed off to the next person just a block down from us and we could sort of see it. The Olympics is only every 4 years and Canada doesn't have it that often. So, we felt privileged to be able to see this little bit of history unfold in front of us. What fun, also, to see the kids' expressions! We all really enjoyed it!
Day 9 - Picture -
But, of course, the picture has to be of the torch going by. It's not a great picture, but it does show up and you can see the torch and the person carrying it. It will be one of my favorite moments for awhile - except it was pretty cold, but that's ok.

Oh...just wait until you seen mine...
Yeah, well, we didn't want to stand where we couldn't get quickly in out of the cold! Craig said you nearly froze! I think Sandra got some good ones, too!
Too fun that it went right past your apartment! I am sure the kids had a blast - things like that can be such a fabulous memory for each of them as to them I am sure the event was twice as big as we find it!
