Day 24
We had blizzard like conditions all around the province today. I am thankful that most people in Saskatchewan are smart enough to stay home when the weather is like this. One of my friends in Saskatoon said they couldn't get to church, but were able to listen to it on their phone. Dale and I were unable to go this morning, also. Our back alley was snowed in. He might have been able to shovel and get us out, but after being gone for close to 2 hours, it likely would have been blocked in again. So, we stayed home as well. We get weather like this once or twice or more over the winter and we are fairly used to it and try to be smart about it. It just makes me pray that those who aren't used to it will take precautions and not go out in it. Even though I dislike our winters, I am thankful they are fairly consistent and we know what to expect and how to deal with it.
We had our grandkids over (their parents could get out) and Dale had a "Talespin" party with them. They watched one whole DVD of "Talespin" episodes and I think they were a bit over-stimulated. Hope their parents don't hold it against us. We all had fun! Isn't that the most important thing?
