Day 27 -There is so much evil in the world. I read about another person who is in the process of being declared a lifetime offender and who, once again, blames it on the abusive and horrible childhood he had. But, it really all comes down to choices, doesn't it? He didn't have to take that abuse and make it smolder inside of him, causing him such anger that he commits the sins he does. He could have decided to do something with his life and make something of himself. I am thankful for our free will. When we decide to follow Jesus, He puts His Holy Spirit within us to lead us and guide us down the correct path. We are gently nudged when things that would cause us to sin get in our way and we choose the right way to take. Well, most times we do and I believe the more we choose the right way, the more we feel the Holy Spirit leading us. The farther away we get from doing what is right, the harder it is to "hear" His still small voice. I am thankful that we are not forced into submission like a slave of old, but gently drawn to our Saviour by His loving, forgiving arms to be held there, like the true child of God that we are. Hallelujah for the birth, life, death, resurrection and coming again of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

Day 27
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground., and after you have done everything, to stand." Eph. 6:12-13
